Every rail needs some kind of support to keep the rails upright and the correct distance apart. For that purpose we have Ties. Ties come in two varieties (wood and stone) and are used to make Railbeds and a few other things. In order to preserve Wooden Ties for extended use they must be coated with Creosote Oil. Stone Ties need to have some Rebar or iron included to give them strength.
