Track:Elevator Track
Description
Concept and original code by DizzyDragon, modified for use in Railcraft with his permission.
*NOTICE: Elevator Tracks do not work well with Trains or linked Carts and probably never will, if you must use them with Trains then take a look at Coupler/Decoupler Tracks.**
This rail is unique in that is can be placed vertically. When powered, it will power all the rails below it. Powered rails will lift minecarts up, unpowered rails will lower minecarts down. When a minecart reaches the top it will be pushed onto any normal rail located on the block above. The rail also doubles as a ladder.
More information and explanation can be found on DizzyDragon's webpage (Most of the information is still relevant).
Hints
Place Powered Track at the top and bottom of the elevator for best results.
Place a rail at the bottom, then an elevator rail one block above it to created a slanted junction.
New Feature in version 3.3.0: Placing a rail opposite the Elevator Rail will cause minecarts that stop on that level to be pushed onto the rail. See picture below.
