The Core module is the heart of Railcraft. The Core is always active and implements most of the general tweaks to minecarts: stack size, physics improvements, naming adjustments, render adjustments, etc… The only actual new content the Core provides is the Crowbar.

Additionaly, the Core defines recipes that allow you break a minecart into it's component parts. ie. Chestcart into a Minecart and a Chest.

However, the Core also introduces Railcraft's recipes tweaks to the vanilla rails (Railbeds, Ties, Creosote, Rails). If you do not desire this change, please set the “recipes.track.vanilla” flag in the “railcraft.cfg” file to true.

The Core cannot be disabled, but other modules can be disabled in the “railcraft_modules.cfg” file.
