入门:转辙示例

3方向转辙路口

Here is an example of a 3 way interestion using switches (regular and wye) and boarding tracks.

The cart or train can approach from any direction and can then toggle the switch levers to travel in either direction. For example:

  • If you approached this intersection from the bottom you would stop at the boarding track.
  • The new “wye” switch is controlled by that center switch. You can toggle it so that the red arrrow points left or right (in the screen shot it is pointing to the left.)
  • When you click on the button on the blue wool pillar (the one next to the boarding track) you will now go in the chosen direction (in this example you would go to the left.

Please note in this simple configuration you would be stopped by the second boarding track and need to click on the button to leave the intersection (see next example on way to get around that).

3 Way "Automatic" Switched Intersection

Here is an example of a 3 way interestion where clicking one button would (theoretically) allow you to leave the intesection without clicking on the second Boarding Track. I've tested this a few times and it seems to work, but you might get mixed results.

The cart or train can approach from any direction and can then toggle the switch levers to travel in either direction. For example:

  • If you approached this intersection from the bottom you would stop at the boarding track.
  • The new “wye” switch is controlled by that center switch. You can toggle it so that the red arrrow points left or right (in the screen shot it is pointing to the right.)
  • When you click on the button on the green wool pillar (the one next to the boarding track - suspended one block up in the air) you will now go in the chosen direction (in this example you would go to the right.)

  • When you run over the dector track, it should be enough to keep the boarding tracks powered - and you should be able to continue without stopping a second time.
  • Please note: I've had a few problems where it wouldn't work if the boarding track was right up beside a track that changes elevation - give it some room. :-)

4 Way Switched Intersection

OK this is not exactly the easiest to figure out… Its the same setup repeated 4 times (so you only need to understand one corner - then repeat for all directions).

The cart or train can approach from any direction you will stop at the boarding track beside the blue pillar.

  • Clicking on the blue pillar button will just make you go aroudn the center pillars (so you can choose which direction to leave - or keep going around in a circle).
  • Click on the green pillar button will allow you to exit.

  • Please note that this uses switch motors - you don't toggle the direction - the buttons will power the switch if needed.
