Sulfur Ore can be found in Extreme Mountains and Extreme Mountains Edge Biomes. It is found around layer 10, but only near lava pools.

When broken it drops several Sulfur Dusts. Sulfur Dust is a key ingredient in making Gunpowder, though there may be other uses in the future. it can also be used as the Sulfur Dust in IndustrialCraft2 to make Batteries.
